What the Cognitive Function Report Is

The clinical cognitive read, built for the ordering doctor.

The Cognitive Function Report is BMTG's clinical-track deliverable. It combines WAVi brain data and TM-Flow autonomic data into one neurologist-interpreted cognitive assessment, returned to the ordering provider. Standardized visuals and wording, billed by the ordering provider, with coverage decided by the payer. The report does not diagnose mild cognitive impairment; it documents measured data a clinician interprets.

Two scans, combined
WAVi EEG / ERP · TM-Flow autonomic
Clinical track
What goes into the report
  • WAVi · EEG and event-related potentials (ERP / P300) for measured brain function, FDA 510(k) K213900
  • TM-Flow · autonomic nervous system data (heart rate variability, sudomotor response) for the body-side picture
  • One report · both data sets read together, in BMTG's standardized template visuals and wording
Who it is for
Integrative, functional, longevity, and geriatric physicians who want a measured cognitive baseline they can run, retest, and document. The report supports earlier cognitive-health conversations and gives the encounter something measurable to stand on.
What TITN claims: the Cognitive Function Report combines WAVi and TM-Flow autonomic data into one neurologist-interpreted cognitive assessment, delivered to the ordering provider, billed by the ordering provider, with coverage decided by the payer on the documented indication.
What TITN does not claim: the Cognitive Function Report does not diagnose mild cognitive impairment or any other condition, and it is not a treatment. It documents measured data the clinician interprets. It is an aid to the ordering clinician's judgment. It is not the med-legal Post-Injury Brain Function Report; that is a separate deliverable for personal-injury cases.
Where it sits in BMTG
Two tracks, two audiences
The clinical track (this page)
The Cognitive Function Report is the clinical deliverable for doctors. Read by a BMTG board-certified neurologist or by the client's own neurologist using BMTG templates. Billed by the ordering provider, with coverage decided by the payer. Standard turnaround inside 7 business days.
The med-legal track (separate)
The Post-Injury Brain Function Report is the neurologist-signed, WAVi-only deliverable for personal-injury cases, signed by a board-certified neurologist. Different report, different audience. See the Post-Injury Brain Function Report page →
The portal in the middle
Both tracks run through TITN's HIPAA-compliant portal. Scans come in, the read comes back, and the signed report returns to the ordering provider with standardized visuals and wording.

How It Works

Scan on the portal. Neurologist reads. Signed report back to you.

Your clinic runs the scans. BMTG handles the interpretation. The signed report returns to the ordering provider, never to a third party. Four steps, one HIPAA-compliant workflow.

01

Run the scans

Your clinic captures WAVi (EEG / ERP) and TM-Flow (autonomic) data. A trained tech runs both the same way every visit, so the retest is a true comparison.

02

Upload to the portal

Scan data goes into TITN's HIPAA-compliant portal. No PHI leaves a secure environment. The portal holds the template visuals and standardized wording the report is built on.

03

Neurologist interpretation

BMTG's board-certified neurologists interpret the combined WAVi and TM-Flow data. Or your own neurologist does the read using BMTG templates. Either way, the wording and visuals stay standardized.

04

Signed report to the ordering provider

The completed Cognitive Function Report returns to the ordering provider, standard turnaround inside 7 business days. You bill the patient encounter through standard clinical CPT codes.

What It Shows

The cognitive picture, brain and body side by side.

The report reads WAVi and TM-Flow together, so the cognitive baseline is not a single number. It is a measured brain profile next to an autonomic profile, in one document the patient can follow.

Brain · WAVi

Measured brain function

The EEG and ERP layer of the cognitive read.

  • EEG, resting brain wave activity
  • ERP / P300, a marker of cognitive processing
  • QEEG, quantitative analysis against WAVi's own normative database
Body · TM-Flow

Autonomic profile

The body-side context for the cognitive picture.

  • Heart rate variability, autonomic balance
  • Sudomotor response, small-fiber autonomic function
  • Sympathetic and parasympathetic context
Read · Neurologist

Standardized interpretation

The part that turns raw data into a clinical read.

  • BMTG template visuals, consistent every report
  • Standardized wording, written for the ordering provider
  • Baseline and retest framed for side-by-side comparison

What the report supports in practice.

  • Functional and longevity cognitive assessment
  • Geriatric cognitive assessment support
  • Documenting change before and after a protocol
Coverage

Billed by the ordering provider; coverage decided by the payer.

The Cognitive Function Report is a clinical-track deliverable: the underlying scans are billed by your practice under its own payer contracts, and the report supports the documentation. Coverage is decided by the payer on the documented indication; TITN publishes no reimbursement figure.

Billing the scans
Payer-dependent, documented, clinical track
Coverage and coding
  • WAVi side: The scan is billed under the standard codes for the services performed, and your payer decides each line. The physician's cognitive assessment visit is billed separately, only when it is performed and documented.
  • Autonomic side: Coding is pending a certified coder's written opinion. Coverage and coding are set by your Medicare contractor and each plan; California's contractor publishes no autonomic policy.
  • Coverage depends on your contractor's policy, the documented indication, the equipment and method, and the interpreting physician.
  • Ask us for the coverage checklist and the one page worksheet, and confirm every code with your certified coder before the first claim.

Read your contractor's policy in the CMS Medicare Coverage Database before billing.

Coverage Decided by your payer The scan is billed under the standard codes for the services performed, and your payer decides each line. The physician's cognitive assessment visit is billed separately, only when it is performed and documented. Ask us for the coverage checklist and worksheet.

What you bill, what BMTG delivers
The report supports the encounter, it is not a separate code
The clinical model
Your practice bills the patient encounter and the scans through the standard clinical CPT codes above. BMTG delivers the neurologist-interpreted Cognitive Function Report that supports your documentation and your conversation with the patient.
What TITN claims: the scans behind the Cognitive Function Report are billed by the ordering provider, with coverage decided by the payer on the documented indication. The report supports that documentation.
What TITN does not claim: we do not guarantee any specific reimbursement amount, and the Cognitive Function Report is not itself a billable CPT code. TITN publishes no reimbursement figure. TITN handles operational coordination, not compliance audits.
BMTG Interpretation

BMTG's neurologists, or yours. Either way, standardized.

BMTG is TITN's sister service for interpretation. The Cognitive Function Report can be read by a BMTG board-certified neurologist, or by your own neurologist using BMTG's templates. The HIPAA portal keeps the visuals and wording consistent no matter who signs.

Option A · BMTG's board-certified neurologists

We read it for you.

Send the WAVi and TM-Flow scans through the portal and BMTG's board-certified neurologists interpret them. You stay in your specialty and get a finished cognitive read back, standard turnaround inside 7 business days.

  • BMTG template visuals and standardized wording
  • BMTG Case Reviews for complex presentations
  • Signed report returns to the ordering provider
Option B · your own neurologist

Your neurologist signs, on our templates.

If your practice has a neurologist, they read the combined data using BMTG's templates on the portal. The output stays standardized, so the report looks and reads the same as the BMTG-signed version.

  • Same template visuals, same standardized wording
  • Same HIPAA-compliant portal workflow
  • Your neurologist owns the clinical read
Cognitive Function Report vs Post-Injury Brain Function Report

Two reports. Make sure you order the right one.

BMTG runs two distinct deliverables. The Cognitive Function Report is clinical, for doctors. The Post-Injury Brain Function Report is med-legal, for personal-injury cases. Different report, different audience.

Common questions

The Cognitive Function Report, answered.

What an ordering doctor asks about the clinical read.

What is the Cognitive Function Report?

A clinical cognitive-assessment report combining WAVi (EEG and ERP) with TM-Flow autonomic data. A BMTG board-certified neurologist, or your own, interprets it on TITN's templates and returns it through the HIPAA portal.

Is it covered?

The ordering provider bills the underlying scans under its own payer contracts; coverage is decided by the payer on the documented indication. TITN publishes no reimbursement figure.

Can our own neurologist sign it?

Yes. BMTG's board-certified neurologists can interpret and sign, or your own neurologist can, on TITN's standardized templates. Either way the report is standardized.

How does the workflow run?

You scan in the clinic and upload to the portal, a neurologist reads it, and the signed report comes back to you. No lab build-out and no neurologist on staff required.
