For Neurology Practices

Quantified EEG, event-related potential, and autonomic data for the neurology workup.

Where the exam and the imaging leave function undocumented, WAVi records quantified EEG and event-related potentials in about twenty minutes and TM-Flow records autonomic and vascular measures in about ten, ordered when clinically indicated.

Why neurology practices work with TITN

Why add quantified EEG and autonomic testing to a neurology workup?

Because the exam and the imaging often leave function undocumented. WAVi quantifies resting EEG rhythms and P300 amplitude, latency, and reaction time against an age-matched normative database, and TM-Flow records autonomic and sudomotor indices. Both are aids to diagnosis captured on a repeatable protocol, so a retest is a genuine comparison. You interpret; the device measures.

01

Baseline on the exam day

WAVi records resting EEG awake and drowsy plus event-related potentials including P300, in about twenty minutes on a gel-free saline headset. TM-Flow adds heart rate variability and sudomotor response chairside in about ten minutes.

02

Outsource the read, not the visit

Data captures in your office; interpretation comes back from BMTG board-certified neurologists through a HIPAA-compliant portal. Your practice does not need to add an in-house EEG reader to run the program.

03

Retest on the same protocol

Repeat both scans the same way after a course of care, so measured change sits next to the exam. Retest frequency is decided by your payer on documented medical necessity, never on a fixed schedule.

Diagnostics that fit neurology

Which platforms fit a neurology workflow?

WAVi is FDA 510(k) cleared (K213900), an EEG and event-related potential system cleared to aid in diagnosis, not to diagnose any condition on its own. TM-Flow is built on three FDA 510(k)-cleared modules (K173696, K152216, K200141) for autonomic, sudomotor, and vascular indices. ALTMS is FDA-cleared rTMS (K220625) for adults with major depressive disorder who have not improved on prior antidepressant medication. Provider-ordered genetic panels run through PreCheckHealth.

When a case goes legal · Post-Injury Brain Function Report

Quantified neurodiagnostic documentation, signed by a board-certified neurologist.

When a patient's injury becomes a personal-injury matter, the same WAVi data supports a neurologist-signed report of measured findings written for the record. You stay the ordering provider; billed to the patient or on a lien depending on case structure.

  • Quantified EEG / ERP findings, written for the legal record
  • Available as a standalone deliverable, no device purchase needed
  • Admissibility is decided by the court and varies by jurisdiction

TITN and BMTG reach attorneys through education only. The ordering provider is the customer. The report does not diagnose; it documents measured data a clinician interprets, and admissibility is determined by the court.

Coverage

Is it covered, and how is it billed?

Medical necessity comes first. Every test in this table is for use when it is clinically indicated and medically necessary for that patient. We set your workflow to that standard and give you the documentation to support it. Coverage and payment are decided by each payer on the documented indication. Nothing here is a guarantee of payment.
WAVi The scan is billed under the standard codes for the services performed, and your payer decides each line. Decided by your payerno TITN figure; ask for the worksheet
Physician visit The physician's cognitive assessment and care plan visit is a separate service with its own required elements, billed only when it is performed and documented. Decided by your payerper the CMS cognitive assessment policy
Coverage by contractor and plan Autonomic function testing on the TM-Flow modules, measuring HRV and sudomotor response for autonomic workups. No TITN figurecoverage and payment set by your MAC and plan

Common questions

Neurology, answered.

The questions a neurology practice asks before it orders anything.

Which diagnostics fit a neurology practice?

WAVi for a quantified EEG and event-related-potential baseline, and TM-Flow for autonomic, sudomotor, and vascular indices. WAVi is FDA 510(k) cleared (K213900) to aid in diagnosis, not to diagnose any condition on its own, and runs in about twenty minutes; TM-Flow is built on three FDA 510(k)-cleared modules and runs chairside in about ten minutes. Both are ordered when clinically indicated, and a board-certified neurologist's read comes back through BMTG. Provider-ordered genetic panels, the Comprehensive Neurogenetic Panel and PharmacoCheck+, run through PreCheckHealth.

Is neurology testing covered?

Coverage is decided by your payer on the documented indication. WAVi is billed under the standard codes for the services performed, with the physician's cognitive assessment visit billed separately when it is performed. TITN recommends no code for TM-Flow; each Medicare contractor and plan decides, and California's contractor publishes no autonomic policy. Ask us for the coverage checklist and confirm every code with your certified coder.

What does WAVi's FDA clearance actually cover?

K213900 clears the WAVi SCAN software for the acquisition, display, and storage of a patient's brain electrical activity, including EEG and event-related potentials, to aid in diagnosis. That is the whole claim. It is not a clearance to detect, diagnose, or rule out any condition, and it says nothing about TM-Flow, which carries three module-level clearances rather than a device-level one.

Can qEEG or P300 testing diagnose mild cognitive impairment on its own?

No. Published work shows P300 changes correlate with mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease, and performs best when combined with other biomarkers, but current guideline consensus does not support it as a standalone diagnostic. The BMTG Cognitive Function Report documents measured WAVi and autonomic data for the ordering clinician to interpret; it does not diagnose mild cognitive impairment or any other condition.

Is qEEG admissible in court to prove a traumatic brain injury?

Admissibility is decided by the court and varies by jurisdiction. Several state courts have excluded qEEG offered to diagnose traumatic brain injury, so no report should ever be presented as court-proof or as standalone proof of injury. The BMTG Post-Injury Brain Function Report presents instrument-recorded EEG and ERP measurements interpreted by a board-certified neurologist who can support deposition; it does not assign legal causation or liability.

Is autonomic testing useful for small fiber neuropathy?

Autonomic testing, including sudomotor and cardiovagal measures, is a recognized adjunct in the small fiber neuropathy workup alongside clinical exam and skin biopsy for intraepidermal nerve fiber density. TM-Flow records sudomotor response from galvanic skin response and autonomic function from heart rate variability as measured indices. It supports the workup; it does not replace biopsy-based confirmation, and a normal result does not exclude the diagnosis.

Does my practice need its own EEG technologist and reader?

You need a trained technician to run the headset, not an in-house EEG reader. WAVi captures data in your office on a rapid-placement, gel-free saline headset, and the interpretation comes back from BMTG's board-certified neurologists through TITN's HIPAA-compliant portal, with a board-certified neurologist signing the conclusion. TITN provides the training on placement, software, and protocol consistency.

What is the difference between the Cognitive Function Report and the Post-Injury Brain Function Report?

They are separate deliverables for separate uses. The Cognitive Function Report is the clinical track: WAVi brain data plus TM-Flow autonomic data combined into one neurologist-interpreted cognitive assessment for the ordering provider, standard turnaround inside 7 business days. The Post-Injury Brain Function Report is the med-legal track for personal-injury cases: WAVi only, signed by a board-certified neurologist, available standalone without a device purchase. Do not conflate the two in intake.

Do the PreCheckHealth genetic panels fit a neurology workflow?

Two of them do. The Comprehensive Neurogenetic Panel covers 203 genes and is ordered when the presentation or the family history raises an inherited question. PharmacoCheck+ reports variants in five drug-metabolizing enzymes as one input the prescriber weighs against published gene-drug guidance. Both are provider-ordered, run on a buccal swab by a CLIA-certified lab, and billed by PreCheckHealth, not by your practice. The panel reports variants; interpretation stays with the ordering clinician, and genetic counseling is available through the lab.

Start with your neurology practice.

A short call covers devices, reimbursement, and onboarding for your workflow. No commitment beyond the first conversation.
